If you know me from real life, you'll know that I've spent the better part of this SS18' talking myself out of buying things because "no Liz, you don't need more polka dots".
I can't stop. I don't want to stop. The polka dot trend is one that has enveloped me entirely, and I'm okay with it. So, in honor of my polka dot obsession, I'm going to share a few of my favorite current pieces (some of them on sale!)
Hands down, my favorite skirt of the season goes to this flouncy piece from H&M. I will link it here. This skirt is so flattering, and goes beautifully with so many pieces. The length gives me quite a bit of security, while the fit still feels flattering.
My most worn dress of the summer has definitely been this little number from Forever 21. I searched everywhere, and could not find it online, but I've seen it in stores recently, and there are so many similar styles on F21, so I'm going to share it anyway.
I won't lie, I've slept in this dress as often as I've worn it out. It's unbelievably comfortable- this is my, "i'm home now so I'm throwing something comfy on" dress.
I'm surprised by how few photos I have in this dress- while I don't shoot it often, I wear it at least once a week.
I recently found this little puffy sleeved top from Zara, and I fell in love. I'll link it here (it's on sale!) The gal on the website wears it with the knot in the front, but I styled the tie in the back, and I love it either way. The puffy sleeves are so dramatic, and I'll be wearing this top through fall.
Another recent sale find from Zara is this gorgeous, rust dress. This is another incredibly comfortable piece (that I've already fallen asleep in twice, oops). This dress is incredibly inexpensive currently, so if you like it styled on me, I would definitely recommend snatching it up.
My final polka dot love is a piece from RaJu Official that I received months ago, and have worn endlessly. I'll link it here.
You may notice a pattern with me when it comes to dresses-- when I buy a dress, I buy for comfort. If the dress isn't easy and comfortable, I won't wear it. Flouncy, polka dot dresses are some of the easiest pieces to style. They are mindless- you throw it on, grab a neutral pair of shoes, and you're out the door.
These are some of my favorite ways to style polka dots this season-- how do you feel about the trend? Are you sick of it yet? Have you fallen into the trap? If you read my blog, I'm sure you've been buying polka dots too, as I haven't been able to get them off my Instagram feed for months. They are everywhere.
I hope you have a great weekend, thank you always for reading!
