Hi loves, Happy April, Happy Easter, Happy April Fools... lot's of titles today.
This month didn't have a ton of favorites- I was in Japan for about two weeks of March, so I didn't make a lot of new discoveries, but it did solidify some of my favorites.
1. Wide Leg Trousers
This should come as no shock to anyone- I have been obsessed with wide-leg trousers recently. Part of this came from visiting Japan, and discovering that the whole country catered to short gals like me with very little leg. Most trousers tend to come up really long on me, so being in Japan was a great opportunity to get a couple new pairs of trousers.
I've also been trying to get away from wearing my 501's so much, but it's still a bit too chilly to run around the city in dresses and skirts, so wide-leg trousers have been a great transitional piece.
2. Dark Wash Vintage Levi 501s
Okay, now ignoring everything I said previously, I purchased a new pair of vintage Levi's at the beginning of March, and I've been wearing them non-stop (probably why I've started styling wide-leg trousers more, hehe).
I did a full blog post on them early March, so I'm going to link that here if you'd like further details, but I just wanted to give them a shout out, because we've been inseparable since I received them.
3. "Raffia Crossbody Bag"
I found this bag at a Zara in Tokyo, and I've been loving it ever since. I think it's the perfect bag for spring- it's light, fun, and reminiscent of a spring picnic. I've been getting lots of questions on it, so I'm going to link it here, as it is still in stock! It also comes in black, which I think is equally cute (but skipped out on because I didn't think it was super spring appropriate).
I even like the little colorful scarf- considering how neutral most of my outfits are, I think it's a really fun little pop of color.
4. Glossier's Cloud Paint in "Dusk"
I don't typically add too many new products to my makeup routine, so this was a surprising one!
Glossier has been receiving a lot of hype over the last year, and one of their products that is continuously talked about is their cloud paints. I finally decided to order one, so I tried the color "dusk".
I fell in love. This product is so natural looking, and beautiful. It makes it look like you're flushing from the inside out. Some blushes can look a little clownish, and for that reason, I rarely used to wear blush, but this product has been a game changer for me.
I use my fingers to apply it, and it just melts into the skin, with a natural but visible flush of color. I definitely want to try the other colors.
My only complaint is the size of the tube. You don't need a lot of product, but like many of Glossier's makeup products, I don't think you get enough product either. I love Boy Brow, but I seem to run out of it constantly, and I'm currently already on my second container of their Stretch Concealer. The Cloud Paints only have 0.33 fluid ounces of product, so I imagine these will run out quickly too.
5. Gucci Cat Eye Sunglasses
These sunglasses have been on my wish list for SO LONG, so when I finally got my hands on a pair, I was ecstatic. I got these in the mail towards the beginning of March, and they were the only sunglasses to come with me to Asia (which says a lot, considering how much I love sunglasses). Because I've gotten into warm tones this year, these sunglasses have been a great addition to my collection, matching so well with the esthetic that I'm trying to deliver. They'll definitely be a staple for the rest of this year, too.
That's all for my March favorites, I hope you have a wonderful April! I'm excited for the weather to keep warming up, even if Minnesota likes to take its time...
As always, thanks for reading.
