With having such a new blog, I cannot believe this is already my third installment of monthly favorites- time goes by so quickly.
A couple months ago, a company called Context Skin contacted me, wanting to send me a few products. I was immediately interested, because the company is absolutely gorgeous. When I work with brands, I am as interested in the products themselves, as I am the aesthetic. Personally, I don't work with a lot of beauty companies (i.e. skincare, makeup, haircare...) because product placement photos can look really awkward and staged if the packaging doesn't fit your general aesthetic, and if you end up not liking the products...awkward.
But Context Skin is an absolutely stunning company, and I wanted to highlight a couple of the products that I've been loving for the last month or so.
The shampoo and conditioner duo was my absolute favorite set of products to use. It's definitely a bit expensive for what it is, but this duo has been a good reminder that not all shampoo and conditioner is created equal- this set leaves my hair feeling so silky. I love how my hair feels when I use these two together. They are also free of parabens, sulfates and sodium chloride; in my experience, sulfate free shampoos and conditioners tend to leave my hair feeling a lot smoother, with far less product buildup.
The other hair product I want to highlight is the Volume Boost. This product has been a lifesaver for those days where my hair just needs a little help. I just spray a little bit of this into my roots, shake it up a bit, and it adds a lot of texture and volume, without making everything crunchy or sticky. I'm definitely a fan.
They also sent me a couple of their lipsticks and lip lacquers. While the lipsticks left me feeling pretty neutral (they're fine, but I don't wear a lot of traditional lipstick, especially in brighter/ darker shades), the lip lacquers were a definite winner. I've been wearing the lip lacquer in Sticky Sweet all month. These rosy, mauve toned lip colors are definitely a fall / winter favorite.
Disclaimer: These products were sent to me, but I am not being paid for my review, nor did I agree to write a blog post for the company. All opinions are my own, and it was my independent choice to include them in my favorites.

The Classic Petite Watch in Durham + Rose gold- Daniel Wellington:
I swear I don't mean to include so many pieces that were sent to me in my favorites, but here's the thing: I'm in college, I'm poor, and I genuinely wear the things that I receive. I've been in love with Daniel Wellington's minimal watches for a long time, but I've never had the money to shell out for one of their pieces, so I was so excited when they contacted me to collaborate for the holidays. I will be doing a full blog post on this watch, but I wanted to quickly include it, since it hasn't really left my wrist for the last few weeks. You know how I love my watches.
You can find mine here.
Corduroy Trucker Jacket in Pop Ecru- The Cords & Co:
Again, THIS WAS NOT INTENTIONAL! I made my list of favorites for this month, and didn't realize they were all gifted to me until I started writing. Ah well, I don't do a lot of shopping so this was inevitable.
When I received this cream corduroy jacket in the mail, my first thought was, "how the fuck am I going to style this?" but it's been on repeat this month. It's been a surprisingly versatile piece, and I've been wearing it so much. It's so comfortable, and it doesn't leave me feeling restricted or stiff like a lot of denim jackets do.
Maybe it's because Lorde was going through a breakup when she wrote this album, but as I've been progressing through mine, I've found myself replaying Melodrama over and over again. I've always loved Lorde: I find that each album she's released has correlated really well with where I am in my current life, so I connect to her really strongly. Specifically, The Louvre, Hard Feelings, and Supercut have not left my head.
That's it for this month's favorites: let me know what you've been loving lately! Happy December!
