Truthfully, I'm only making this a "transitional fall" post because I wanted an excuse to write about this outfit. I recently ordered these corduroy boots from Zara, and I could not wait to shoot this outfit. 90% of my outfits are minimal variations of each other, so when I throw on a statement look like this one, I just want to wear it everywhere.
I consider this to be a perfect transitional outfit, because I am managing to maintain my bare legs comfortably, while still covering up considerably. Sock boots were really popular last year, and this year they seem to be getting even higher. This AW season, I'm also seeing midi dresses and midi skirts everywhere, which is ideal for the weather. You would be amazed by how much warmer you feel just by covering a few extra inches of leg. Between that and the higher boots, I'm managing to cover most of my skin, without having to put on (the dreaded, uncomfortable...) tights.
I also managed to match the camel tones in the boots to the accents of the dress and the slivers of brown on the coat, and that makes me feel great.
