Welcome back, loves.
Today we are going to be talking about a major fashion trend this fall season; plaid trousers. Plaid has been a major trend this season, in multiple forms. Plaid brazers and coats were big last AW16, and they are just as big this year. I considered writing this trend report on plaid everything, but I've already done a post that features my H&M plaid coat, and I feel like plaid outerwear is already being talked about plenty, so I don't need to share my thoughts.
But I do want to talk about plaid trousers! Culottes have been incredibly trendy the last couple years, and this fall, I feel like everyone wanted the cold-weather equivalent. I have often referred to culottes as "chic sweatpants", and plaid trousers fall under the same category. These trousers have been one of my staples this season because they are chic and structured, but so comfortable. With a knit or a turtleneck (typical, I know) on top, and some low heels on bottom, this outfit looks very put together.
Many of us look forward to coming home at the end of the day and changing into "comfy clothes"- I can tell that these pants are the greatest thing on earth because when I wear these and come home, I don't change out of them. Sometimes I even fall asleep in them.
If you're interested in the pair that I'm styling, you can find them from the WhoWhatWear collection at Target. These trousers are incredibly soft and comfortable, and they are food baby approved. I've linked them here.
