A white, silk dress is light, flowy and luxurious: it is the embodiment of summer fashion. When I think of a luxe Grecian holiday, or a summer walk down the beach, this is the dress I think of.
Today, we are going to be talking about transitional fashion, and how to take a silky summer dress and make it into a fall statement. The dress that I am styling here is from an Australian luxury brand, Free & Form. You can find the Silk Layer Slip Dress here.
Disclaimer: I was sent this dress. This blog post is not sponsored, and I was not paid to share my opinions or write this post. All opinions are my own.
If you live somewhere warm enough that you don't need a coat, this dress can still function as a fall basic. This dress has a lot of movement, so I wanted to contrast it with masculine, structured details. Here, I am wearing a cylinder bag from Dezzal (you can find it here), and my favorite Vince Yasmin boots. The sunglasses are last season Zara.
I live in Minnesota, so it's a bit too chilly for bare arms now. I finished off this look with my favorite androgynous coat from H&M (you can find similar coats here, and here.)
This is by far one of my favorite transitional outfits. The contrast between the femininity of the white silk and the androgyny of the leather and boxy coat is everything that I want in fashion. This is completely my look.
